Your task is to gain enough power to reach the threshold to break through the material in front of you. ![]() It’s called Test Your Meat, and what awaits you is a deviously difficult platforming section. The level that you will be taken to from the Warp Zone is a homage to the Test Your Might bonus stages in the Mortal Kombat series, but with a Meat Boy twist. As there is some procedural generation to levels, it may also look slightly different to you. It requires some well-timed jumping and dashing to reach and dive at the end, but it shouldn’t take long to get to. You will know that it’s close when the bars and screen will start to glitch out. One of the warp zones that you can jump into is about halfway through the Turn Your Head level in The Clinic. They were challenging and enjoyable, and Super Meat Boy Forever brings them back with some twists. Doing so would open up a retro-styled challenge with limited lives to complete multiple levels, with you going back to the beginning if you fail. They would be hidden within regular levels, and you need to jump your way through them to get access. Unless the two have a fourth game in the works, it'd be safe to assume that Super Meat Boy Forever is that project. Last month, Edmund McMillen of Team Meat wrote on his blog that Mew-Genics would be put on hold while he and Tommy Refenes, also of Team Meat, worked on "another project." The game was hinted at back in August with an ambiguous live action video called A Voyeur for September, which is an anagram for Super Meat Boy Forever. The release date has been left at an ambiguous "when it's done," and launch platforms remain unspecified beyond PC and "tablets."Īs its name suggests, Super Meat Boy Forever is an autorunner based on Team Meat's notoriously challenging Super Meat Boy from 2010. ![]() ![]() Team Meat revealed one of their newest games on the PAX Prime 2014 show floor today, an endless runner called Super Meat Boy Forever.
